This is a close up view of the oil filter adapter gasket with the adapter removed. As you can plainly see part of the gasket has broken leaving a gap for the oil to be pumped out. This is part of a pressure gallery right under the oil pressure switch.
I also have to add, that when I took the adapter off I found 3 bolts loose. Did they come loose or did I leave them loose? Probably the latter.
